Philippians 2:7
"Kenosis"
is a Greek word found in Philippians 2:7. It means to be emptied out. In the
context of the scripture, it is speaking of Jesus leaving His heavenly
Father and position and taking on the form of a man. In the context of our
lives, "Kenosis" means we empty ourselves of our wants and
desires and surrender to the desires of the Lord for our lives.
Kenosis Student Ministry is the youth Ministry
of Giles Creek Baptist Church located in Smyrna, TN. Our ministry includes
grades 6 - 12. We have weekly services, and do our best to have monthly
events. Please come and join us.
We seek to help students thrive through some of
the hardest years they face. Teenagers are hit from all sides with peer
pressure, decisions, etc. We want teens to know they have someone they can
turn too. He is God!!
